This is a great option for people with busy life styles or who simply prefer to leave the training of their dog to a professional. Dogs will be required to stay overnight at Meadowmist Pet Resort for a minimum of 1 week. Refresher courses or special requests available, please contact Irma to discuss your needs. |

Option 1 : ONE WEEK BASIC OBEDIENCE COURSE During the Basic obedience course Irma teaches your dog the 5 basic commands: |
- Heel (walking on a loose leash)
- Sit
- Sit-Stay for upto 1 Minute
- Drop
- Come
- All work is done on the Leash
Simple behaviour problems can be addressed during this course as well, like jumping up on people, pulling on the leash, nipping etc.
However if you encounter more serious problems with your dog like aggression, running away when called etc we recommend the 3 week advanced course, or private lessons at your home.
Remember not all unwanted behaviour may be displayed at the kennels, ie chasing the cat, chewing on the furniture etc. In which case individual lessons would be a better option.
Stay at Meadowmist Pet Resort has to be booked separately. Please contact Meadowmist for more details. |

| Option 2 : Two week Obedience Course. |
| Irma will use the same commands taught during the 1 week course, but will now add distractions (For example around other dogs, people, with loud noises etc) in order to "proof" the commands. This is done partly at the kennels but the dog(s) will also be taken to surrounding neighborhood and parks to practice the trained commands in more realistic day to day surroundings. |
| |
| Option 3 : Three WEEK ADVANCED COURSE |
The advanced course offers the same 5 commands as the basic course with the addition of off leash work, extended sit stay and/or the addressing of the more challenging behaviour problems like handler aggression, dog aggression. |
Remember that in some cases it is quite possible to rehabilitate an aggressive dog, in other cases it may be that the circumstances of the owner prohibit the possibility to provide the right environment for such a dog, in which case such a dog is a liability and a danger to the community. If you have a dog with an aggression problem, give Irma, The K9 SuperNanny, a call to see if there is something she can do for you. |
